Let’s work together.

From delineating wetlands, amphibian migrations, and bird surveys, to wildlife camera trap monitoring, invasive species management, native plant gardening, citizen science programs, and community outreach; Amy has traversed many paths in her environmental science career. She is eager and always poised to exercise her conservation knowledge and skill in the field.

This discipline of art is my passion. Natural science illustration bridges science and art. It translates information into visual form, making it easier for audiences to access, engage, and understand. This art form requires accurate as well as engaging artistic representation of scientific subject matter that is informative, accessible, and in my preferred style: whimsical and captivating. My creative toolkit consists of many visual media techniques—such as drawing, painting, photography, graphic design and other digital media—all of which can be utilized to help communicate complex concepts, processes, or subjects across many communication mediums.

While I strive to bring collaborative energy to all my work, it is a special joy to work closely with a client to create a unique piece of custom art—especially one that celebrates their connection and attunement to the natural world…

These pieces can be up to 8 × 10” in size and will typically utilize graphite, or colored pencil, or pen to create clean lines and sharp details.
Please understand that I am not a trained tattoo artist and do not have experience producing art on a three-dimensional form or skin. I strongly encourage you to include your designated tattoo artist in our collaboration and plans for your artwork! Please do not inquire about or begin plans for your tattoo art with me until you have a tattoo artist willing to work collaboratively! Ultimately, I want the outcome to be a positive experience and a high-quality final art piece for all involved.
